Penang Ara Peak Campsite

Ara Peak Retreat is initiated by a group of friends who share a vision of having a hilltop top sanctuary within the proximity of town area with modern day convenience. Ara Peak is identified to practice the Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) as it nestled in the vibrant township of Sungai Ara and yet hidden in the greenery of Sungai Hill.

Situated in Bayan Lepas, 7 km from Queensbay Mall and Snake Temple,  5 km from Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Ara Retreat is less than 10 minutes drive from Penang International Airport and while Penang Bridge is 26 km from the property. Ara Peak Penang features accommodation with access to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool. 

The bungalow

The bungalow with air-conditioned units are furnished with parquet floors and feature a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, desk, a living room, an equipped kitchen, patio and views over the pool. There is a seating and a dining area in all units and it has private bathroom. 

Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed).

A short drive up the hill through durian orchards and vegetable farms offers an educational experience for the urban folks and the lush countryside scenery itself is a sight to behold.

Upon reaching the retreat, a stone and timber archway welcome its guest. A natural pond filled up with underground spring water is one of the key attraction of the retreat and the overflow from the major pond is channelled to a series of cascading ponds to rear fresh water Talapia. Lotus roots and and edible water plants are planted to provide an eco system that complement each other.

The Campsite

Ara Peak Campsite does not allow visitors bring their own tent to camp here. If you plan to go camping, please book the tent with the person in-charge. 

Campsite facilities

Other attractions including visit to nearby vegetable and bee farms. BBQ and tents can be arranged with a surcharge for those who wish to enjoy ‘farm to table’ dining experience and natural outdoor living in tents.
